Details

On 23 January 2023, the Department for Health and Social Care announced a £150 million boost to mental health services through government funding.

The Home Secretary expressed appreciation to all chief constables in England and Wales, along with police and crime commissioners, for their ongoing dedication to mental health and policing, and for their collaborative efforts with health partners.

Additionally, the Home Secretary provided updates on initiatives and timelines from partners to address mental health demands.
